Description
State vs. 'Confidential Client' - The client has been allegedly involved in engaging in sexually explicit communications and exchanging sexually explicit photographs with a minor through online platforms. Attorney Patrick Roberts, an accomplished criminal defense lawyer for sex crimes, observed that the client’s alleged misconduct may largely be influenced by a previously diagnosed psychological issue.
As a result, Attorney Roberts obtained the client’s mental health records and enlisted the help of a seasoned mental health professional who had experience dealing with suspected sex offenders. After a thorough evaluation from the provider and examination of the client’s psychiatry records, Mr. Roberts presented the findings to the prosecutor’s office.
Mr. Roberts’ investigation was instrumental in negotiating a favorable plea agreement for the client. Despite facing a possible prison term, a felony conviction, and sex offender registration for decades, Attorney Roberts successfully turned the tide. Our client received a reduced plea offer to two non-sex offense misdemeanors combined with probation.
Result
Two Misdemeanors With Probation.
Pleas to two misdemeanors with probation; the client avoided prison, a felony conviction, and sex offender registration.
